hallo,

ich habe ein paar fragen hinsichtlich der installation auf mac os x

ich hätte gern numpy scipy pylab etc installiert. im inet fand ich verschiedene wege die ich entweder nicht verstand bzw fehler kamen

zb habe ich numpy installiert was erfolgreich war ... dann wollte ich matplotlib installieren jedoch meint er ich hätte numpy 1.0.1 und er bräuchte 1.1 ... ich habe aber noch mal nachgeschaut habe nun 1.2

die erste installation hab ich mit easy_install durchgeführt
dann habe ich auf dem gleichen weg scipy versucht zu installieren jedoch ging das auch nicht wirklich

kann mir da jemand bitte weiterhelfen

Sieht so aus, als ob du einen Fortran Compiler brauchst.
Mit http://www.finkproject.org/ kannst du einen via "sudo fink install g77" installieren.

Aber: Mit Numpy / Scipy hatte ich auf dem Mac auch Schmerzen. Letztlich habe ich enthought python installiert (-> google). Wenn man nur für akademische Zwecke Python nutzt, sollte das eine Lösung sein.

das versteh ich nicht wirklich ... aber ich werde es mal mit dem vorgeschlagenen versuchen

ne andere frage ... wie kann ich eigentlich app wieder löschen ohne irgendwas falsch zu machen ... da ich mittlerweile py2.6 und py2.5 installiert habe und noch irgendwelche verunglückte packages ...

reicht dafür
cd /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions
sudo rm -rf 2.5
cd /Applications
sudo rm -rf "MacPython2.5"

?

Und "g77" auf dem Terminal eingegeben startet wirklich den Fortran Compiler? Normalerweise sollte Fink ja /sw/bin automatisch dem Pfad hinzufügen, aber wer weiß...

    cd /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions
    sudo rm -rf 2.5
    cd /Applications
    sudo rm -rf "MacPython2.5"

Das System-Python würde ich nicht anfassen, aber die kaputten Pakete kannst du ja aus dem site-packages Verzeichnis löschen.
Außerdem musst du darauf achten, wo z.B. MacPython überall seine Pfade eingetragen hat. Normalerweise wird ja immer die hinter dem symlink /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/Current steckende Python Version gezogen.
