- Mentor team members.
Refine and prioritize upcoming features with the technical product owner.
Contribute to the system architecture.
Sample projects:
- Self-Service Interface for our partner shops.
Lead the API development, which drives our mobile apps.
Transition our statistics processing to BigQuery.
Help other departments scale, by building tools to automate their processes.
Your Profile:
- You have mastered one programming language: we'd prefer Python or Java, but it really doesn't matter that much. If you can solve problems in one language it won't take long to pick up a new language with us.
Databases: SELECT database_vendor, COUNT(work_in_previous_projects) AS experience FROM you WHERE database_vendor IN ('mysql', 'percona', 'mongodb') GROUP BY database_vendor;
You've written applications that seamlessly scale from one node to hundreds.
Develop with style: code can be an art form, especially if it's well structured. Therefore we believe in well-designed, object oriented and async systems using MVC structures and beautiful algorithms. We'd love it if you thought the same way.
You believe waterfalls are beautiful tourist attractions rather than development paradigms.
You prefer to be agile in your planning and decision making and demand automated test coverage for finished work.
You have led (either formally or informally) a team.
